BLACK MARBLE OFFICE FLOOR RESTORATION – A STUNNING TRANSFORMATION

We recently completed a unique and rewarding project in a commercial office space featuring an elegant yet high-maintenance black marble floor. Unlike the more common tile and stone materials often used in offices, this black marble added a luxurious touch to the workspace but presented its own set of challenges.

The problem

Over time, the marble surface had become dull, scratched, and stained due to heavy foot traffic and general office wear and tear. The once-glossy black stone had lost its shine and character, giving the entire room a tired and neglected appearance. Standard cleaning methods simply weren’t enough to restore the floor to its former glory.

Our solution

After a detailed assessment, we recommended a more intensive restoration process: milling the marble. This involves removing a very thin layer from the surface of the stone to eliminate deep scratches, etching, and stains. Milling is ideal for marble that has suffered heavy damage, as it reveals a fresh, clean layer underneath.

Once milling was completed, we began our diamond polishing process, using a professional-grade set of polishing pads ranging from 400 to 8000 grit. This multi-stage system gradually refined the surface until we achieved a deep, mirror-like shine that completely transformed the space. The area was then sealed with a premium impregnating sealer.

  • The difference was remarkable: the floor not only looked like new but added a stunning visual impact to the office, complementing the contemporary interior design and improving the overall atmosphere of the workspace.

Sometimes, even small mistakes during tiling can create major problems. One of our clients recently experienced this when their tiler failed to seal the tiles and did not properly clean off excess grout and adhesive.
