The first step in this remarkable transformation was to remove the self-leveling compound that had covered the quarry floor for some time. Professional deep cleaning

Once the tiles were exposed, we moved on to deep cleaning the quarry floor. Utilising professional tile and stone cleaning products, a rotary machine, and a wet vacuum, we ensured that every inch of the floor was thoroughly cleaned. This process not only removed years of dirt and grime but also prepared the surface for the next crucial step. After cleaning, we left the floor to dry for a few days to ensure optimal results.

Sealing the floor for protection and beauty

To complete the restoration, we sealed the area with a breathable, color-enhancing impregnating sealer. This sealer is designed to bring out the beautiful colors of the original quarry tiles while providing long-lasting protection. Sometimes, even small mistakes during tiling can create major problems. One of our clients recently experienced this when their tiler failed to seal the tiles and did not properly clean off excess grout and adhesive. The result was a persistent grout haze that seemed impossible to remove. After consulting two professional cleaning companies , the client was told the haze had seeped into the porous tiles , making it essentially permanent. Desperate to save their tiles, their builder even tried brick acid , which unfortunately damaged the tiles further . With the prospect of ripping out the tiles and spending thousands looming, the client reached out to Quality Tile Care as a last resort.
